At the Southwest Volunteer Fire Department, our mission goes beyond fighting fires — it’s about building a safer, stronger, and more supported community. Our New Community Outreach Program is designed to help residents with everyday needs and provide critical support before, during, and after emergencies.
Through this program, our volunteers offer a variety of services including:
• Smoke detector installations
• Home safety checks
• Delivery of essentials to vulnerable residents
• Minor home assistance
• Fire and life safety education
• Disaster preparedness guidance and resources
We work closely with individuals and families to ensure they are informed, equipped, and ready in the event of severe weather, fires, or other emergencies. Whether it’s creating an evacuation plan, assembling emergency kits, or answering questions about local risks, we are here to help you stay safe.
At Southwest, we believe in neighbors helping neighbors. Our team is made up of dedicated volunteers who care deeply about the people we serve. We’re proud to stand beside our community — not just in moments of crisis, but every day.
